The term color is typically used to refer to “true color”, meaning the color of water after turbidity has been removed. The term “apparent color” refers to the color measured without filtering the original sample. The new HI727 Water Color Checker from HANNA measures both true and apparent color.
Results are displayed directly on the screen, with no need for visual comparison to determine the color value.
